First Day Out With My Ultron

I bought a new lens recently and only manage to go out for a good run with it last Sunday. I got myself another Voigtlander lens; this time round it’s the 40mm Ultron F2.

A pretty nice lens I must say based on the initial run with it. You can read abit about the lens from Ervine’s Blog. He loaned it from the distributor for a while and took it to his Yunnan photography trip as well as taking some wedding photos with it. You can his thoughts on the lens here.

Anyway, just a few pictures that I quite like.

Think this is one lens that I’m going to like a lot despite it being a manual focus lens. Now … to strike that damn lottery so I can get a Full Frame (D700) camera to use this lens with!

Congratulations Philip and Rachel

Congrats Philip and Rachel on your wedding! It was a really enjoyable wedding event and it’s an honour to be a buddy of yours.

For background, I’ve known Philip for more than 15 years already, being in the same class for 5 years from Form 1-5 and then we went to the same school during Form 6. Heck, we even stay rather close to each other with your house just about 5-6 minutes walk away.

Rachel I’ve only known for like 7 years or so ever since Philip introduce you to us as his gf. Didn’t really get to know you well as I’m almost never around since I’m always in Singapore and seldom go back. The only thing I remember you the most is when you said “I like Philip when he’s more round. Much nicer”. And that my friend is why Philip is reluctant to lose that extra weight. :)

Anyway, congratulations again on your very blissful matrimony. Here are just a few pictures I took of you two that day.

Simply bananas! Will leave you to do the thinking..
