My new home is located at Edgedale Plains, Punggol, Singapore.
It’s a small little 4 room HDB with a total area of about 91 metre square (about 979 square feet). Actual usable area will be less than that though as the perimeter walls are included as part of the calculation.
The flat itself is about 5 years old and I bought it at a resale price of SGD237,000. The place is valued at SGD238,000 though. Manage to knock off SGD1000 by complaining about some parquet defect. Anyway thought the price is reasonable considering that the housing market in Singapore is now booming at an alarming rate.
The condition of the place is not that bad, just that the previous owner is kinda crappy when it comes to cleaning. A picture speaks a thousand words…
As you can clearly see, the floors are very dirty, the walls are very dirty and even the light switches are very dirty. How the previous owner can continue to use the kitchen in this condition is really beyond me. I shall refrain from showing you the condition of the common bathroom. Hehe.
Anyway, a lot of things will have to be in place before we can move in such as kitchen cabinets (the old one definitely will have to go), built-in wardrobes, air-conditioning, a new paint job, a new varnish for the parquet, furnitures, appliances and the list goes on.
Will blog about them as it comes..

Eewww…
